Pringles connections, Part II

My new friend, Lorrie, wrote me this great email this week - I'll share it in parts - with her permission - and for your encouragement. Enthusiasm is infectious!
I was so convicted to reach out a lot more (after attending hospitality workshop.) I have struggled for years with wanting to have people over, especially women to connect with, but then not feeling that my house was clean enough, the food good enough and the such. Well, I loved the definition you gave for hospitality versus entertaining and I decided right then and there to begin showing hospitality and not worrying about the entertaining part. God gave me my home and everything in it including my family and so I needed, and wanted, to share it with others.
Oh by the way, I was one of the ladies you gave the Pringles to if I would invite others over!!! I also plan to have some ladies over for coffee soon and invite a lady from my work who is lonely and wanting to connect with others. We live in the country so the neighborhood coffee doesn't work as well, but I can still plan something! Again, thanks and God bless you and your ministry....Lorrie
Lorrie was so smart to pick up on the "not good enough" syndrome that we all suffer from one time or another. Have you ever felt that way? I have. "Don't even bother, Sue, you'll never measure up...yada yada yada..."
But, God just wants our willingness and He will fill in the gaps. Reminds me of the little boy with the loaves and fish. He just offered what he had and God did the rest.
Thanks, Lorrie - I guess the Pringles worked...

When I think of you, Sue, I think hospitality. Wish I could have heard you talk at the conference. But after coming here to Redondo, I finally decided, too, that, as small as my house is, it's not too small to welcome people in. So, I have had a few people coming and going to and through LAX and even spent the night with us - on an inflatable mattress...welcome to our "couch and snack". And I even have a small photo album with a picture and a note to remind me that it can be done. We don't have a dining table - we use our card table, two office chairs, the couch and a beach chair. God will provide!!!
