Perfect Valentines
Kiss-Me-Quick Cookies
(The perfect valentine whether or not you have one!)
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 3/4 c. flour

Combine all ingredients in large mixing bowl. Mix on low speed of mixer until dough firms. Shape dough into balls, using a round teaspoon for each.
Roll balls in sugar and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Don't overbake.
Top each cookie immediately with a candy kiss. Press down lightly so cookies crack around edge. Bake another 2 minutes. Definitely a "kiss" for your mouth - delish!
PS I plan to mail some to London for Bonnie Sue, along with a bright green turtle neck - she's going to Dublin for St. Pat's!
